Local Bay Area YouTubers like Fisherman's Life, ChrisPFish, and Die Hard Fishing helped influence his understanding of the sport and its benefits. In his freetime, he enjoys playing tennis and hanging out with his friends. He runs the Bishop O'Dowd Fishing Appreciation and Conservation Club and serves at the Hayward Shoreline as a counselor at the Fishing Camp.

He recently took a marine science course which required him to conduct an experiment related to an issue in this field. He chose plastic pollution and went to his local beach daily for two weeks researching the types, quantity, and weights of the trash washing up. He was shocked to discover that over half of the 1000 pieces of trash he picked up were bottle caps. At that moment, he knew that he had to Stop The Caps.

However, another goal is to grow a community of people who are passionate about preserving marine life and conserving the environment. Beach cleanups, planting native species, and creating more marine protected areas are all possible in the near future. This is just beginning. We can accomplish this together.
